Konu\u015fmada, sineman\u0131n i\u015fgal s\u0131ras\u0131nda bir ileti\u015fim, e\u011fitim ve propaganda arac\u0131 olarak rol\u00fc ve kamuoyunu nas\u0131l \u015fekillendirdi\u011fi ele al\u0131nd\u0131. Konu\u015fmac\u0131lar i\u015fgal, direni\u015f ve kurtulu\u015fun sinemasal temsillerini ve bunlar\u0131n T\u00fcrk ulusunun tarihsel belle\u011fini ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel kimli\u011fini nas\u0131l etkiledi\u011fini analiz ettiler. \u00c7ok say\u0131da akademisyen ve ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131n\u0131n kat\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 etkinlik Londra Yunus Emre Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc m\u00fcd\u00fcr\u00fc Dr.Mehmet Karaku\u015f\u2019un a\u00e7\u0131l\u0131\u015f konu\u015fmas\u0131 ile ba\u015flad\u0131. \u00d6nde gelen film tarih\u00e7isi ve \u015fu anda Birkbeck \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nde misafir ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131 olan Nezih Erdo\u011fan konu\u015fmas\u0131nda T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131n\u0131n tarihsel geli\u015fimini ve i\u015fgal d\u00f6nemindeki zorluklar\u0131n\u0131 anlatt\u0131.\n

\u0130stanbul\u2019un i\u015fgal alt\u0131ndaki y\u0131llarda, sineman\u0131n hem bir direni\u015f arac\u0131 hem de bir modernle\u015fme aray\u0131\u015f\u0131 olarak g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc s\u00f6yledi. T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131n\u0131n i\u015fgal d\u00f6nemindeki \u00f6nemli filmlerinden baz\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 \u00f6rnek vererek, bu filmlerin hem ulusal hem de uluslararas\u0131 ba\u011flamlarda nas\u0131l okunabilece\u011fini a\u00e7\u0131klad\u0131.\n

T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131n\u0131n i\u015fgal d\u00f6nemindeki \u00f6zg\u00fcnl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc ve \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi \u00fczerinde durdu. \u0130stanbul\u2019da g\u00f6sterilen yerli ve yabanc\u0131 filmlerin T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131na nas\u0131l etki etti\u011fini ve T\u00fcrk sinemac\u0131lar\u0131n i\u015fgal, direni\u015f ve kurtulu\u015f temalar\u0131n\u0131 nas\u0131l i\u015fledi\u011fini a\u00e7\u0131klad\u0131. \u0130\u015fgal d\u00f6neminde sinemaya uygulanan sans\u00fcr ve vergi gibi zorluklara da de\u011findi.\n

Konu\u015fmas\u0131nda \u0130stanbul\u2019u hi\u00e7 g\u00f6rmemi\u015f olan Victor Hugo\u2019nun \u0130stanbul\u2019u G\u00f6ren Adam adl\u0131 \u00e7izimi ve o d\u00f6nemde \u00fcretilen benzer g\u00f6rsel \u00f6rneklerde Bat\u0131\u2019n\u0131n \u0130stanbul\u2019a duydu\u011fu arzuya de\u011findi ve 1920\u2019lerde \u0130stanbul\u2019un Hollywood filmlerinde egzotik bir mekan olarak tasvir edilmesine \u00f6rnekler verdi. Levant Sinematografi \u015eirketi ve Cecil M. Hepworth gibi yabanc\u0131 sinemac\u0131lar\u0131n T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131na katk\u0131lar\u0131na vurgu yapt\u0131.\n

\u0130\u015fgal d\u00f6neminde en \u00e7ok izlenen filmleri g\u00f6steren Askeri M\u00fcze Sinemas\u0131\u2019n\u0131n pop\u00fclerli\u011finden bahsetti. \u0130stanbul\u2019da a\u00e7\u0131lan ilk a\u00e7\u0131k hava sinemas\u0131 olan Cinema Etoile\u2019nin kalitesinden ve sava\u015f gemilerinde g\u00f6sterilen filmlerin de\u011fi\u015fiminden s\u00f6z etti. Path\u00e9 Rusya \u015eirketi\u2019nin \u0130stanbul\u2019a ta\u015f\u0131nmas\u0131n\u0131n T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131na etkilerini anlatt\u0131. Milli Sinema Program\u0131\u2019n\u0131n T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131n\u0131n ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve geli\u015fimi i\u00e7in \u00f6nemini belirtti. Nezih Erdo\u011fan konu\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131n son b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnde \u0130\u015fgal sonras\u0131 sinema k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn de\u011fi\u015fimine dair g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015flerini payla\u015ft\u0131.\n

Birkbeck, Londra \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nde Film ve Medya Tarihi Profes\u00f6r\u00fc Ian Christie ise i\u015fgal d\u00f6nemindeki \u0130stanbul sinemas\u0131n\u0131n Avrupa sinemas\u0131yla olan ili\u015fkisini inceledi. \u0130stanbul\u2019un i\u015fgal alt\u0131ndayken bile bir k\u00fclt\u00fcr ba\u015fkenti olarak kald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve Avrupa\u2019daki sinema ak\u0131mlar\u0131n\u0131 takip etti\u011fini belirtti. \u0130stanbul\u2019da g\u00f6sterilen yabanc\u0131 filmlerin T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131na nas\u0131l etki etti\u011fini ve T\u00fcrk sinemac\u0131lar\u0131n Avrupa sinemas\u0131ndan nas\u0131l ilham ald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6sterdi.\n

Ayr\u0131ca, i\u015fgal d\u00f6neminde \u0130stanbul\u2019da ya\u015fayan ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan yabanc\u0131 sinemac\u0131lar\u0131n T\u00fcrk sinemas\u0131na katk\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 da vurgulad\u0131. Ian Christie konu\u015fmas\u0131nda ayr\u0131ca \u0130ngiliz ve T\u00fcrk sinema tarihinin kesi\u015fti\u011fi noktalardan biri olan \u00c7anakkale Sava\u015f\u0131\u2019na odakland\u0131. Bu sava\u015f\u0131n hem \u0130ngiltere hem de T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de h\u0131zla sinema perdesine yans\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve farkl\u0131 bak\u0131\u015f a\u00e7\u0131lar\u0131yla anlat\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirtti.\n
